It's been a fantastic summer photographing wonderful families up and down the beaches of the New Jersey Shore. Although I photograph most of my beach portraits in Long Beach Island (LBI) I do go up and down the Jersey Shore, this year I've photograph a good amount of families in the Lavallette and Sea Girt areas. I found a secret spot in Long Beach Island that allows me to photograph families over an hour earlier then I typically do. The reason for this is because I found a few homes that are very close to the ocean and these homes block the sun and cast a nice big shadow on the beach. This is perfect for people with very small children who may go to sleep by 8pm. As some of you know I typically start my beach sessions an hour before sunset, so this mean often I am starting at 7:30. In this secret location I can start at 6:15!
