As many of you know I do a ton of beach portraits on the beaches of Long Beach Island, however I do work (if you can call it work) up and down the coast from Wildwood to Sandy Hook to everywhere in between such as Sea Girt, Bay Head, Spring Lake, Rumson, and Monmouth Beach. For many reasons beach portraits are my favorite type of portraiture. One of the main reasons is because at the beach, extended families are often vacationing together and everybody is in a good mood, they are away from the rat race.......for now. I know from first hand that families don't always get along, but it's nice to see the kids suck it up for their parents. (Did I really go there? But you know what I mean....I am sure of it). It's always a blast, and by the end of the portrait session it feels like I've known the families for a lifetime. It's hard to explain, but I've been even asked to go out to dinner with them afterwards! I promised myself if anyone ask me this year I am going to say YES. So don't ask unless you mean it!
